Mogadishu, Somalia: The Commissioner of the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA), Mr. Mahmoud Moallim Abdulle, today attended the closing ceremony of 2026 Identity Week in Mogadishu, which also commemorated International Identity Day.

The event, organized by the National Identification and Registration Authority (NIRA), was also attended by Ministers from the Federal Government of Somalia, government officials, representatives from various sectors of society, and other distinguished guests.

The ceremony highlighted the importance of national identification, community participation, and the role of identification in improving public services. It also emphasized the importance of strengthening public understanding and the use of national identification.
