The Deputy Governor for Security and Political Affairs of the Banadir Regional Administration, Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Diriye (Yabooh), who participated in a meeting of the High-Level Committee overseeing the National Disaster Risk Management Fund, presented the Banadir Regional Administration’s preparedness plan for flooding expected as a result of El Niño-related rainfall.

Mr. Yabooh stated that the Banadir Regional Administration is focusing on removing water from areas affected by recent rainfall while also preparing for the upcoming rains, with the aim of finding sustainable solutions to the impacts of flooding.
