The Minister of Environment and Climate Change of the Dan-Qaran Administration, Lieutenant General Bashir Mohamed Jama (Kaynan), who participated in a meeting of the High-Level Committee overseeing the National Disaster Risk Management Fund, stated that Super El Niño is a global phenomenon associated with climate change.

The Minister emphasized the importance of opening waterways and clearing key areas that facilitate the flow of water in order to reduce the impact of flooding. He also stressed the need to strengthen early warning systems and raise public awareness about the risks that communities may face.
