The Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation of the Federal Government of Somalia, Mr. Ali Yusuf Ali (Hosh), accompanied by the Commissioner of the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA), Mr. Mahmoud Moallim Abdulle, met with the Parliamentary Committee on Interior Affairs, Regional Administration and Security at the headquarters of the House of the People of the Federal Parliament of Somalia.

The meeting addressed questions raised by members of the Committee regarding the humanitarian response, drought conditions, and preparedness for emergencies arising from rainfall and El Niño-related flooding.

In conclusion, Minister Hosh briefed the Committee on SoDMA’s preparedness, its emergency management capacity, and ongoing efforts to strengthen the management of humanitarian operations across the country.
