The Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA) today distributed food assistance to 1,000 vulnerable families in Las Anod as part of its humanitarian response and food distribution program being implemented across Northeastern State.

The Commissioner of SoDMA, Mr. Mahmoud Moallim Abdulle, accompanied by the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management of Northeastern State and the Mayor of Las Anod, witnessed the distribution of the assistance.

The aid is intended to help alleviate the impact of drought and difficult living conditions affecting vulnerable families in the area.

SoDMA also plans to deliver humanitarian assistance to other areas of Northeastern State to strengthen humanitarian response and support communities affected by ongoing humanitarian challenges.
