The Commissioner of the Somali National Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA), Mr. Maxamuud Macalin Cabdulle, accompanied by the Galmudug Drought Committee, chaired a meeting in the city of Galkacyo to discuss the drought response efforts in Mudug region.

The meeting was attended by the Mudug regional administration, the Galkacyo district administration, and humanitarian and charitable organizations. The discussion focused on the drought situation in Mudug and on strengthening the emergency response being provided to vulnerable communities in order to save lives.

Finally, the SoDMA Commissioner, Mr. Maxamuud Macalin Cabdulle, called on the people of Mudug region and humanitarian organizations to further strengthen their support for those affected by the drought.
