Officials from the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA), accompanied by representatives from the Ministries of Humanitarian Affairs of Somalia’s Federal Member States, are currently in the People’s Republic of China undertaking specialized training on disaster management.

As part of the program, the participants are receiving practical instruction in modern flood prevention techniques, search and rescue operations, and the use of disaster monitoring drones for disaster surveillance, assessment, and emergency response. The training is being delivered by the Red Cross Society of China.
