The Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA) today delivered food assistance to residents of Teedaan, a community under Maxaas District, where security operations against terrorist groups have recently been taking place in surrounding villages. The assistance forms part of SoDMA’s ongoing efforts to support communities facing severe hardship as a result of drought.

The relief package, consisting of a variety of essential food items, benefited internally displaced persons, vulnerable families, orphans, and persons with disabilities.

Some of the beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to Somali Disaster Management Agency for providing timely humanitarian assistance.
