The Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management of the South West State, continued the distribution of humanitarian food assistance in Baidoa on the second day of the operation. Today, the aid was delivered to 300 beneficiaries, including persons with disabilities, recently displaced people who arrived in the city, and other vulnerable individuals, all of whom have been affected by the severe drought currently facing the country.
This assistance is intended to support vulnerable families living in areas under Baidoa and its surrounding villages, who are experiencing food shortages caused by the drought affecting the country as a whole.
At the same time, SoDMA is carrying out humanitarian emergency operations in different regions of the country, including food distribution and water trucking, to save vulnerable people affected by the drought.
