The Commissioner of the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA), Mr. Mahmoud Moalim Abdulle, today held a meeting at the agency’s headquarters with the Commander of the Somali Custodial Corps, Major General Mohamed Sheikh Hassan Hamud.

The two sides discussed support for prisoners, care for orphaned children of custodial forces personnel, and ways to improve prison services in order to address the challenges faced by inmates.

The Commander of the Somali Custodial Corps, Major General Mohamed Sheikh Hassan Hamud, praised SoDMA’s disaster prevention initiatives and underscored the importance of supporting prisoners, orphans of custodial forces personnel, and vulnerable families.

Finally, the Commissioner of SoDMA, Mr. Mahmoud Moalim Abdulle, stated that the agency will work closely to support the custodial forces, particularly prisoners and orphans of custodial personnel, while also strengthening prison monitoring efforts across the country to assess and improve conditions.
