The Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs of South West State, today distributed food assistance to 500 families in Baidoa, including poor households, internally displaced persons, and other vulnerable people who have been severely affected by the drought in the country.
The assistance, which was comprehensive in nature, consisted of essential food items intended to ease the difficult conditions faced by vulnerable families.
The food distribution ceremony was attended by the Commissioner of SoDMA, Mahmoud Moallim Abdulle, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs of South West State of Somalia, and other regional officials, who oversaw the smooth implementation of the activity.
