The Commissioner of the somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA), Mr. Mahmoud Moallin Abdulle, today received Tom Fletcher, the United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator, who arrived in Mogadishu yesterday.

The meeting between the two officials, attended by representatives from humanitarian organizations, focused on the country’s humanitarian situation and ways to establish comprehensive cooperation to address ongoing challenges.

The UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator, Tom Fletcher, stated that his visit to Somalia aims to assess the impact of humanitarian crises, including drought, displacement, and climate change.
