The Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA) today visited Mogadishu Central Prison to assess the living and health conditions of inmates.
During the visit, SoDMA officials handed over food supplies to the prison administration for the inmates. The assistance is part of the Agency’s efforts to support vulnerable groups and monitor their needs and well-being.
The Director of SoDMA’s Health Department, Dr. Abdullahi Muse Ahmed, handed over the food supplies to the Commander of Mogadishu Central Prison, General Dahir Abdulle Raage (Basuke), and the Deputy Commander of the Somali Custodial Corps, General Aweeys Mohamed Mohamud.
The Commander of Mogadishu Central Prison, General Dahir Abdulle Raage (Basuke), thanked SoDMA for the support and food assistance provided to the inmates.
Dr. Abdullahi Muse Ahmed, Director of SoDMA’s Health Department, also called on all sectors of Somali society to fully support and stand with inmates, particularly by contributing to efforts aimed at improving their welfare and living conditions.
