The Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA), in collaboration with the Jubbaland Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, has prepared 10 water pumps for deployment to flood-prone districts and communities across Jubbaland.

The pumps will be used to remove water from towns and areas affected by heavy rainfall and flooding, helping to reduce potential damage and risks to local communities.

The measure is part of ongoing early preparedness and anticipatory action efforts to reduce the potential impacts of flooding and other hazards associated with the expected heavy rains and Super El Niño conditions.
