The Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA), in collaboration with the African Development Bank (AfDB), has concluded a two-day meeting in Mogadishu aimed at validating the results of the Gender Audit for the Africa Disaster Risk Financing Project.

The meeting placed particular emphasis on the importance of strengthening gender equality and ensuring inclusive participation of communities in climate change-related activities and disaster risk management efforts.

Finally, SoDMA officials urged participants to enhance coordination among institutions and ensure that women and vulnerable groups fully benefit from disaster prevention and response initiatives.
