The second day of the Somalia Financial Resilience Building Project is underway in Mogadishu, focusing on strengthening the country’s capacity to prevent and manage disasters and mitigate their impacts.
The meeting brings together representatives from various Federal Government ministries and institutions, who are discussing ways to establish a financial mechanism that will enable the government to respond rapidly and effectively to disasters.
The project also aims to reduce the economic and humanitarian impacts of disasters on communities and strengthen Somalia’s long-term resilience to prevent, prepare for, and manage future disasters.
