The Commissioner of the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA), Mr. Mahmoud Moallim Abdulle, today received the Chairperson of the National Human Rights Commission, Dr. Maryan kasim, at the Agency’s headquarters.

The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between the two institutions, sharing information, and discussing the humanitarian situation in the country, particularly the challenges faced by vulnerable communities affected by disasters.

SoDMA officials briefed the National Human Rights Commission on the Agency’s efforts in disaster preparedness and response, as well as humanitarian assistance provided to communities affected by difficult circumstances.

The two sides agreed to strengthen cooperation and information sharing to improve the response to humanitarian situations.

In conclusion, SoDMA Commissioner Mahmoud Moallim Abdulle described the meeting as important for strengthening cooperation among government institutions and enhancing support for Somali communities facing humanitarian challenges.
