The Commissioner of the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA), Mr. Mahmoud Moallim Abdulle, leading a delegation from the Agency, today arrived in Las Anod, the capital of Northeastern State.
The delegation was warmly received by senior officials of the Northeastern State administration, including cabinet ministers, members of parliament, and the Mayor of Las Anod. The visit is part of SoDMA’s ongoing efforts to strengthen humanitarian assistance and support for communities affected by humanitarian crises.
During his stay in Las Anod, the Commissioner is expected to officially launch a humanitarian assistance program aimed at responding to the impacts of drought on vulnerable households. The program will be implemented across several districts of the Northeastern State.
The initiative forms part of SoDMA’s continued commitment to delivering emergency relief and expanding humanitarian support to vulnerable communities across Somalia.
