The Commissioner of the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA), Mr. Mahmoud Moallim Abdulle, and the delegation he is leading arrived today in Baidoa, where the Country Humanitarian Forum (CHF 2026) will be held.

The delegation includes the Ministers of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management from Somalia’s Federal Member States. Upon arrival, they were warmly received by the South West State Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, Mr. Abdinasir Abdi Caruush, along with other senior officials from the South West State administration.

Minister Abdinasir Abdi Caruush noted that the forum will play a pivotal role in strengthening collaboration and coordination among humanitarian actors, enhancing collective efforts to address humanitarian challenges across Somalia.

In his remarks, SoDMA Commissioner Mr. Mahmoud Moallim Abdulle expressed his sincere appreciation to the South West State administration for the warm reception extended to the delegation. He emphasized that the Country Humanitarian Forum (CHF 2026) provides a vital platform for uniting stakeholders and advancing coordinated preparedness and response efforts to humanitarian situations across the country.
