The Deputy Commissioner of the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA), Dr. Ahmed Abdi Aden, inaugurated the meeting of the National Disaster Management Coordination Committee, which focused on strengthening collaboration and coordination of disaster management efforts across the country.

The meeting was attended by officials from the Office of the Prime Minister, ministries of the Federal Government of Somalia, and institutions working in disaster management. Participants discussed ways to enhance disaster preparedness, prevention, and emergency response mechanisms.

In his closing remarks, the Deputy Commissioner of Somali Disaster Management Agency, Dr. Ahmed Abdi Aden, emphasized the importance of strong cooperation among government institutions and other stakeholders to establish an efficient and effective system for managing disaster risks and emergencies nationwide.
