A delegation led by the Acting Leader of the South West State Administration, Jibriil Abdirashiid Haaji, accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Government of Somalia, Abdisalaan Abdi Ali Dhaay, the Commissioner of the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA), Mahmoud Moallim Abdulle, and the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs of South West State, arrived today in the district of Diinsoor in the Bay region.

The officials launched a humanitarian assistance program in the district aimed at supporting 2,000 vulnerable families living in Diinsoor. The relief initiative was jointly implemented by SoDMA and the Government of China.

SoDMA Commissioner Mahmoud Moallim Abdulle stated that the assistance is intended for the most vulnerable members of the community in order to save lives and alleviate the difficult conditions they are facing.

Finally, Jibriil Abdirashiid Haaji said that the South West State administration is giving special priority to supporting vulnerable communities and expressed appreciation to SoDMA and all parties involved in delivering humanitarian assistance to the residents of Diinsoor District.
