The Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hon. Ali Yusuf Ali (Xoosh), accompanied by the Commissioner of the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA), Mr. Mahmoud Moalim Abdulle, hosted a dinner reception in Mogadishu for the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Djibouti, Mr. Mikhail Golovanov, who is on a working visit to Somalia.

The Russian Ambassador to Djibouti, Mr. Mikhail Golovanov, arrived in Mogadishu to discuss matters related to humanitarian assistance support. The Russian Government is expected to hand over food aid to SoDMA to help address the needs of vulnerable Somali communities.

Finally, the Commissioner of SoDMA, Mr. Mahmoud Moalim Abdulle, praised the strong and ongoing cooperation between Russia and Somalia, highlighting Russia’s important role in supporting humanitarian assistance and emergency relief efforts for the Somali people.
