Mogadishu — The Director General of the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management of the Jubaland State, Hussein Mo’alim Ali, has warned that drought conditions in Jubaland remain extremely severe and continue to require urgent humanitarian assistance.
Speaking at the National Conference on Drought Response and Food Security, Mr. Hussein Mo’alim Ali stated that communities across Jubaland are still facing critical needs as a result of prolonged drought, underscoring the importance of immediate and well-coordinated action.
He emphasized that the conference places strong focus on accelerating coordination between government institutions and humanitarian partners, with the aim of reducing the impacts of drought and ensuring that timely, effective assistance reaches affected populations as quickly as possible.
