Mogadishu, Somalia: Commissioner of the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA), Mr. Mahmoud Ma’allin Abdulle, today held a meeting at the Agency’s headquarters with the Commander of the Somali Navy and Coast Guard, Brigadier General Cabdiwahaab Cabdullaahi Cumar.

The meeting focused on humanitarian emergency preparedness, particularly the anticipated El Niño conditions, the role of the Somali Navy, and coordinated planning to strengthen national preparedness and rescue efforts for vulnerable communities, especially those living along the coast and in flood-prone areas.

Brigadier General Abdiwahab Abdullaahi omar reaffirmed the Somali Navy’s commitment to working closely with SoDMA in implementing the national preparedness plan.

Commissioner Mahmoud Ma’allin Abdulle commended the Somali Navy and its leadership for their preparedness and encouraged them to maintain strong commitment and readiness in protecting vulnerable communities.
