The Commissioner of the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA), Mr. Mahmoud Moallim Abdulle, who is currently on a working visit focused on leading preparedness efforts for the anticipated Super El Niño conditions, last night hosted a dinner and held an engagement meeting in Beledweyne with prominent youth representatives from Hiiraan Region.

Commissioner Mahmoud Moallim Abdulle honored the youth of Hiiraan with the dinner and expressed his appreciation for their warm reception and their continued efforts to reduce disaster risks affecting local communities.

During the meeting, the Commissioner encouraged the youth to actively engage in life-saving and disaster prevention efforts, particularly in response to the anticipated risks associated with flooding. He reaffirmed SoDMA’s full commitment to supporting the people of Beledweyne and communities across Hiiraan Region.
