The Commissioner of the National Disaster Management Agency, Mr. Mohamud Moallim Abdule, has today in Mogadishu met with the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Amb. Ahmed Juma Al-Rumaysi.
In the meeting which took place at the Embassy of the UAE in Mogadishu, the Commissioner and the Ambassador discussed the role of the UAE government in dealing with drought issues and development projects.
The Commissioner first of all Appreciated the Government and the people of the UAE for supporting the Somali people, and asked them to continue their efforts and support to the Somali people. He specifically urged the UAE Government to work with them and find a solution to assist people living in areas that have been liberated from the Khawarij groups.
The Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Somalia, Ahmed Juma Al-Rumaysi, has promised the Disaster Management Agency that they will continue to support the Somali people. At the end of the meeting, the Commissioner handed over to Ambassador Ahmed Juma Al-Rumeysi a letter of appreciation and a gift reflecting the polite conduct of the Somali people.
