BEIJING, CHINA — As part of its intensive efforts to enhance national capabilities in disaster management and humanitarian response, officers from the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA) today visited the Chinese Red Cross Emergency Center. This visit is part of an intensive 24-day training program aimed at equipping the Somali team with the latest knowledge and expertise in disaster risk reduction, emergency preparedness, and crisis prevention.
The visit is a crucial stop on the training path, as team members were exposed to the latest technology in rapid response. A comprehensive range of modern equipment was showcased, including emergency vehicles designed to access remote areas, emergency aircraft equipped for relief and aerial rescue missions, and advanced tools and technologies used to coordinate field operations with high efficiency.
