Mogadishu, Somalia — The Commissioner of the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA), Mr. Mohamud Moallim Abdulle, today received a delegation from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) at his office. The delegation was led by the Director of the Center’s Africa Branch, Mr. Yazeed Abdullah Hamoud.
This meeting aims to strengthen the humanitarian partnership and coordinate joint efforts to address humanitarian crises and disasters in Somalia. Also in attendance were SoDMA’s Assistant Commissioner for Arab and Islamic Affairs, Mr. Abdirahman Hussein, and the Director of the local Al-Tadamun Association, Mr. Abdirahman Abdirisaq.
The discussions focused on accelerating humanitarian responses to meet the urgent needs of communities affected by difficult humanitarian conditions.
Mr. Yazeed Humood reaffirmed KSrelief’s firm commitment to providing continuous support to the Somali government and its people. He emphasized that effective coordination between relief agencies and SoDMA is vital to ensure that aid reaches the most vulnerable individuals quickly and efficiently.
For his part, Mr. Mohamud Moalim Abdulle expressed his deep gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and KSrelief for their ongoing contributions to relief efforts in Somalia. He affirmed that SoDMA will continue its work to ensure that humanitarian aid reaches the most vulnerable groups in remote and difficult-to-access areas.
This meeting reinforces the long-standing partnership between SoDMA and KSrelief, which has seen successful cooperation in responding to natural disasters such as droughts and floods. This partnership serves as a model for effective humanitarian collaboration built on mutual trust and a shared vision of providing rapid and organized support to the Somali people.
