Mogadishu — The Acting Director General of the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management (MoHADMA) of North East State, Mr. Mohamed Abdiqadir Maxamuud (Ducaale Darwiish), highlighted the severe drought conditions impacting the region at the Somalia Multi-Sector Food Preparedness and Response Conference.

He emphasized the critical timing of the conference as the North East State faces life-threatening drought challenges and underscored the need for enhanced coordination to deliver urgent assistance to affected communities.
