Mohamed Yusuf Aden, a researcher and senior lecturer at Mogadishu University currently pursuing his PhD in Peace and Governance Studies at UPEACE, presented a study at the 2nd Somali Disaster Resilience Conference titled: “How Climate Stress Affects Human Security in Somalia and How Environmental Protection and Resource Management Can Foster Sustainable Peace.”
In his presentation, Mohamed emphasized the growing threat of climate change to Somalia’s stability and livelihoods, calling for integrated strategies that combine environmental conservation, effective resource management, and peacebuilding to promote long-term resilience and security across the country.
