The second annual Somalia Disaster Resilience Conference, jointly organized by the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA) and Mogadishu University, entered its second day under the theme “Building Disaster Resilience Through Community-Based Approaches.”

The conference is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration between government institutions and academic centers to find sustainable solutions to the recurring disasters affecting Somali communities.

Experts and senior officials with extensive experience in disaster management, climate resilience, and sustainable development are presenting research papers offering practical insights and strategies to enhance Somalia’s preparedness and resilience against natural and man-made crises.
