Deputy Commissioner Dr. Ahmed A. Adan successfully wrapped up a five-day training program designed to enhance disaster risk reduction (DRR), promote adaptation to climate change, and build the resilience of Somali communities. This initiative aims to empower communities to better prepare for and respond to environmental challenges.
The training session brought together the Director of the Disaster Research and Training Center of SoDMA, alongside SoDMA officials and representatives from PLAN International, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange among key stakeholders.
Dr. Ahmed emphasized the importance of these trainings, highlighting their potential to make a significant impact. He encouraged the participants to fully embrace the knowledge gained and actively apply it to benefit the community, urging them to uphold their responsibilities with dedication and enthusiasm.
