The fourth day of the Somalia Financial Resilience Building Project is underway in Mogadishu, aiming to strengthen the country’s capacity to prevent and manage climate-related risks and disasters.
The meeting brings together representatives from various Federal Government ministries and institutions, who are jointly discussing the development of a financial mechanism that will enable the government to respond rapidly and effectively to disasters and emergencies.
The project is important for strengthening Somalia’s economic resilience, reducing the economic and humanitarian impacts of disasters, and establishing a financial system capable of effectively preparing for, preventing, and managing future disasters.
