The Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA) today held a meeting to present the findings of the Household Economy Analysis (HEA) jointly conducted by SoDMA and the International Rescue Committee (IRC).
The meeting presented findings from data collected in Beledweyne, Galkacyo, Hobyo, Cadaado, Galdogob, and Burtinle, with participants discussing how the findings could be used to inform humanitarian planning, preparedness, and response.
The meeting was attended by representatives from government institutions, international organizations, and local organizations, with a strong focus on strengthening cooperation and coordination of humanitarian efforts.
The Director of SoDMA’s Disaster Risk Management Department, Mr. Khadar Sheikh Mohamed Nur, who led the meeting, stated during the closing session that participants had agreed on the next steps for finalizing the report and ensuring that the findings are effectively utilized to inform humanitarian planning and preparedness.
