Today, a three-week training program on disaster preparedness, prevention, and management concluded at the Training Center of the Red Cross Society of China.
The training was attended by officials from the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA), accompanied by representatives from the Humanitarian Affairs Ministries of Somalia’s Federal Member States. The closing ceremony was attended by Mr. Abdisaalam Suleiman Kodar, First Counsellor and Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Somalia in Beijing, and Mr. Yin Zheng, Deputy Director General of the Red Cross Society of China.
Participants were awarded certificates recognizing the successful completion of the training, which forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation between Somalia and China in the fields of disaster management and humanitarian assistance.
