A consultative meeting on the establishment and development of the framework for the National Disaster Risk Management Fund (NDRMF) concluded in Mogadishu.

The meeting brought together representatives from the Federal Government of Somalia, Federal Member States, international and local organizations, and civil society groups.

Participants highlighted the importance of establishing the National Disaster Risk Management Fund and its potential role in strengthening the country’s capacity to prevent and respond to disasters. They also put forward recommendations to ensure that the fund is utilized effectively, efficiently, and transparently.
