Officials from the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA), the Ministries of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management of the Federal Member States, and the Banadir Regional Administration participated in a workshop in Mogadishu focused on the Tri-Part Framework.
The workshop, hosted by Somali Disaster Management Agency and supported by the World Food Programme (WFP), focused on strengthening cooperation, coordinating humanitarian operations, and enhancing disaster preparedness and response efforts.
The Directors General of the Ministries of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management from the Federal Member States and the Banadir Region commended Somali Disaster Management Agency for its continued efforts to improve disaster management in the country. They also highlighted the importance of the workshop in strengthening collaboration and harmonizing humanitarian response activities.
Finally, Dr. Ismail Jumale, Head of Projects at Somali Disaster Management Agency, emphasized the importance of full cooperation among various institutions to establish a unified and effective system and to strengthen efforts in managing and responding to disasters across the country.
