Northeast State Minister Calls for Urgent Action at 9th Country Humanitarian Forum

The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management of Northeast State, Mr. Abdirizaq Hindi, speaking on behalf of all federal member state ministers of humanitarian affairs, addressed the 9th Country Humanitarian Forum (CHF) held in Jowhar.

In his remarks, the Minister highlighted the worsening humanitarian situation across Somalia, particularly the devastating impact of drought on communities and livestock. He emphasized that the forum must produce practical and immediate solutions to mitigate the humanitarian challenges facing the country.

Mr. Hindi also underscored the importance of the Country Humanitarian Forum, which is held quarterly, as a key platform to strengthen coordination between humanitarian agencies and federal member states in responding to ongoing crises.
