Mogadishu — Prof. Said Abubakar Sheikh Ahmed, a senior expert in curriculum development and education program design, and Head of Postgraduate Programs at Mogadishu University, presented a research paper at the 2nd Somalia Disaster Resilience Conference.
His study, titled “Rebuilding and Raising Environmental Awareness Through Post-Conflict Educational Strategies in Somalia,” examined how education can serve as a powerful tool for restoring communities and promoting environmental stewardship after conflict.
Prof. Said emphasized that integrating environmental education and sustainability principles into Somalia’s post-conflict recovery efforts can help shape a new generation committed to resilience, peace, and responsible resource management.
