The Commissioner of the Somali Disaster Management Agency, Mr. Mahamud Moallim Abdulle met with H.E. Abdulkadir Ahmed Aw-Ali (Firdhiye), Head of SSC-Khaatumo State, to extend congratulations on SSC Khaatumo’s recent designation as a Federal Member State. This visit highlighted a strong commitment to fostering collaboration and promoting unity in the region.

H.E. Firdhiye engaged in a productive dialogue with Mr. Moallim about the current humanitarian situation in the region, emphasizing the ongoing needs of vulnerable populations who require support, especially as the Gu’ rains remain limited.

The head of Khatumo also expressed gratitude to the Chinese government for their imminent delivery of substantial aid to the SSC Khatumo State, which will significantly benefit those in need.

Both parties committed to strengthening SoDMA’s efforts in accelerating the Prime Minister’s Laascaanood projects. They underscored the importance of sustaining and expanding the agency’s humanitarian initiatives in the region to better serve and uplift the community.
