In a collaborative effort, the Somali Disaster Management Agency and the King Salman Humanitarian Aid & Relief Centre launched an initiative today in Mogadishu to provide relief grants to support 4,000 families in the Benadir region. This partnership aims to enhance the well-being of those affected and foster community resilience.
The families benefiting from this aid have experienced significant challenges due to the recent floods in Mogadishu caused by heavy rains last week.
Mr. Yazid Abdallah Hamoud, Head of the King Salman Relief Center-Africa, highlighted the strong partnership between the King Salman Relief Centre and SoDMA. He affirmed the commitment to addressing SoDMA’s request for assistance, aiming to support 4,000 families impacted by the recent floods resulting from heavy rains in Benadir province.
This assistance provides essential support, including food, clothing, utensils, and tents, to help them rebuild and recover from this difficult situation.
Deputy Commissioner Dr. Ahmed A. Adan expressed gratitude to the King Salman Foundation for their prompt assistance in responding to SoDMA’s request.
