{"id":9798,"date":"2026-08-11T12:57:41","date_gmt":"2026-08-11T12:57:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sodma.gov.so\/eng\/?p=9798"},"modified":"2026-08-15T13:05:36","modified_gmt":"2026-08-15T13:05:36","slug":"sodma-and-air-force-commander-strengthen-preparedness-for-super-el-nino","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sodma.gov.so\/eng\/sodma-and-air-force-commander-strengthen-preparedness-for-super-el-nino\/","title":{"rendered":"SoDMA and Air Force Commander Strengthen Preparedness for Super El Ni\u00f1o"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"PDq2pG_selectionAnchorContainer\" data-start=\"81\" data-end=\"352\">The Commissioner of the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA), Mr. Mahmoud Moallim Abdulle, today held a meeting with the Acting Commander of the Somali National Armed Forces and Commander of the Somali Air Force, Brigadier General Abdirisaaq Mahmoud Haji (Qaloombi).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"354\" data-end=\"619\">The meeting, held at the Somali Air Force Headquarters, focused on the humanitarian situation in the country and preparations for the anticipated impacts of <strong data-start=\"511\" data-end=\"528\">Super El Ni\u00f1o<\/strong>, particularly floods and other potential emergencies resulting from the forecast rainfall.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"621\" data-end=\"991\">The two sides agreed that the Somali Armed Forces should play an important role in emergency response and protecting communities.
