He explained that these weather events can trigger floods, droughts, displacement, food insecurity, disease outbreaks, and damage to critical infrastructure and livelihoods.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"805\" data-end=\"1207\">The Commissioner called on the <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">African Union<\/span><\/span>, its Member States, and development partners to strengthen the sharing of climate information, increase investment in <strong data-start=\"992\" data-end=\"1015\">anticipatory action<\/strong>, and finance climate-resilient infrastructure.
