{"id":9607,"date":"2026-07-21T09:39:03","date_gmt":"2026-07-21T09:39:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sodma.gov.so\/eng\/?p=9607"},"modified":"2026-07-21T09:39:03","modified_gmt":"2026-07-21T09:39:03","slug":"somali-disaster-management-agency-launches-household-economy-analysis-training-to-strengthen-humanitarian-needs-assessment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sodma.gov.so\/eng\/somali-disaster-management-agency-launches-household-economy-analysis-training-to-strengthen-humanitarian-needs-assessment\/","title":{"rendered":"Somali Disaster Management Agency Launches Household Economy Analysis Training to Strengthen Humanitarian Needs Assessment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"PDq2pG_selectionAnchorContainer\" data-start=\"17\" data-end=\"251\">The Director of the Disaster Risk Management Department at the <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Somali Disaster Management Agency<\/span><\/span> (SoDMA), Mr. Khadar Sheikh Mohamed, today officially inaugurated a five-day training program on <strong data-start=\"214\" data-end=\"250\">Household Economy Analysis (HEA)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"253\" data-end=\"535\">The training aims to enhance participants&#8217; knowledge and skills in assessing household economic conditions, enabling them to generate reliable data for identifying the level of household vulnerability and determining which families should be prioritized for humanitarian assistance.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"537\" data-end=\"776\">In his opening remarks, Mr. Khadar Sheikh Mohamed encouraged participants to make the most of the training, emphasizing the critical role of accurate data in informing humanitarian planning and the effective targeting of relief assistance.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"778\" data-end=\"1188\">Also speaking at the opening ceremony was Mr. Abukar Gacal, Director of Programs and Acting Country Director of <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">International Rescue Committee<\/span><\/span> (IRC) Somalia, who delivered remarks highlighting the importance of the training in strengthening needs assessment and humanitarian response.
