Mohamed Abdi Hayir (Maareeye), and the Commissioner of the <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Somali Disaster Management Agency<\/span><\/span> (SoDMA), Mr. Mahmoud Moallim Abdulle, held a productive meeting to strengthen government cooperation on disaster prevention and preparedness for the potential impacts of El Ni\u00f1o.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"410\" data-end=\"594\">The meeting focused on enhancing coordination of efforts to address the anticipated effects of droughts, floods, and strong winds expected in the coming seasons as a result of El Ni\u00f1o.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"596\" data-end=\"982\">Finally, the two officials reviewed the preparedness of government institutions, discussed ways to strengthen inter-agency cooperation, and explored practical strategies to mitigate the impacts of climate change and the risks associated with the upcoming Deyr rainy season.
