(SoDMA), <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Mahmoud Moallim Abdulle<\/span><\/span>, and a delegation he led arrived today in the town of Buurhakabo in the Bay region, where severe humanitarian emergency conditions are currently being reported.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"267\" data-end=\"629\">The delegation included the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management of the South West State of Somalia, <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Abdinasir Abdi Caruush<\/span><\/span>, the Deputy Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Somalia and Humanitarian Coordinator, <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">George Conway<\/span><\/span>, as well as representatives from humanitarian organizations.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"631\" data-end=\"807\">During the visit, the delegation officially launched humanitarian assistance for 2,500 vulnerable families in Buurhakabo, jointly provided by SoDMA and the Government of China.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"809\" data-end=\"1050\">The delegation also held meetings with humanitarian agencies and visited internally displaced persons (IDP) camps and the town\u2019s main hospital, where they witnessed the difficult living and health conditions facing residents in the district.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1052\" data-end=\"1326\">The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs for South West State, <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Abdinasir Abdi Caruush<\/span><\/span>, expressed appreciation to the Federal Government of Somalia, particularly SoDMA and the Government of China, for the emergency assistance delivered to the people of Buurhakabo.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1328\" data-end=\"1577\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Finally, SoDMA Commissioner <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Mahmoud Moallim Abdulle<\/span><\/span> stated that Buurhakabo had been prioritized for humanitarian intervention because it is currently among the districts most severely affected by humanitarian conditions in the country.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1328\" data-end=\"1577\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\"><img
