Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, today visited the <strong data-start=\"223\" data-end=\"270\">National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC)<\/strong> of the <strong data-start=\"278\" data-end=\"323\">Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA)<\/strong>, where he reviewed ongoing emergency response operations and received a detailed briefing on the worsening drought situation across the country.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"470\" data-end=\"685\">During the visit, the President instructed all government institutions to make drought response their top national priority and to redirect the majority of their work and resources toward urgent humanitarian action.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"687\" data-end=\"1060\">SoDMA response teams briefed the President on the areas most severely affected by the drought, outlining increasing displacement, environmental degradation, and reported loss of life.
