Discussions emphasized the importance of anticipating and managing potential hazards associated with petroleum operations to safeguard communities and the environment.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"741\" data-end=\"1005\">Participants also examined ways to <strong data-start=\"776\" data-end=\"813\">enhance inter-agency coordination<\/strong>, improve <strong data-start=\"823\" data-end=\"853\">risk management mechanisms<\/strong>, and develop <strong data-start=\"867\" data-end=\"901\">integrated response frameworks<\/strong> capable of addressing the environmental and social impacts that may result from oil and gas activities.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1007\" data-end=\"1423\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Concluding the meeting, Commissioner Mohamuud Moallin Abdulle stressed the need for <strong data-start=\"1093\" data-end=\"1136\">SoDMA to play a visible and formal role<\/strong> in oil and gas exploration and production processes.
