An estimated <strong data-start=\"464\" data-end=\"486\">4.7 million people<\/strong> have been affected, while <strong data-start=\"513\" data-end=\"536\">1.73 million people<\/strong> in <strong data-start=\"540\" data-end=\"576\">11 regions and surrounding areas<\/strong> are facing particularly severe impacts. The most affected areas include <strong data-start=\"649\" data-end=\"745\">Gedo, Hiiraan, Bay, Bakool, Galgaduud, Mudug, Sool, Sanaag, Togdheer, Awdal, and Lower Jubba<\/strong>, where conditions are reported to be approaching emergency levels.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"814\" data-end=\"1105\">The report further warns that the drought may peak between <strong data-start=\"873\" data-end=\"905\">December 2025 and March 2026<\/strong>, driven by unusually hot winter temperatures and prolonged dryness.
