\u2014<\/strong> As drought conditions across the country continue to worsen, the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA) has successfully completed <strong data-start=\"150\" data-end=\"165\">Phase Three<\/strong> of its food distribution project in the <strong data-start=\"206\" data-end=\"216\">Balcad<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"221\" data-end=\"234\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Jalalaqsi<\/strong> districts of the <strong data-start=\"252\" data-end=\"282\">Hirshabelle Regional State<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"285\" data-end=\"492\">The latest phase of the intervention reached <strong data-start=\"330\" data-end=\"370\">2,009 families in Jalalaqsi District<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"375\" data-end=\"412\">3,696 families in Balcad District<\/strong>, providing vital assistance to households facing the severe impacts of drought.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"494\" data-end=\"729\">In total, <strong data-start=\"504\" data-end=\"522\">5,705 families<\/strong> in both districts have benefited from the project across its <strong data-start=\"584\" data-end=\"600\">three phases<\/strong>, which was designed to reduce food insecurity and protect vulnerable communities affected by the ongoing humanitarian situation.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"731\" data-end=\"985\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">The distribution initiative\u2014previously launched by the Chairman of SoDMA, <strong data-start=\"805\" data-end=\"828\">Mr. Mohamud Macalin<\/strong>\u2014has contributed directly to saving lives and supporting families most at risk, while strengthening local resilience in the face of recurring climate shocks.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"731\" data-end=\"985\" data-is-last-node=\"\"
